Oh my. Thank you for the laugh today. As much as I dislike being cold, I think having Christmas in the summer is going to come as a big (and kind of sad) shock to me.

No, Edgars at Kollonade. I still think we should write new Christmas songs ("Angels we have heard on high, sweetly singing o'er the veld. And the jackals in reply, howling back their joyous... ??)
Jonna, it IS a big shock, but after three years here I began to realise how much of what I loved about Christmas had nothing to do with the birth of Christ and was just cultural "trappings," if you will. I still miss hot chocolate, but I'm kind of getting into the swim party/BBQ thing... :)

The thought of being away from the "cultural trappings" does sound wonderful. I am really struggling with all the commercialism this year.
