A Flower the Size of a Whole Bouquet

This is a king protea, national flower of South Africa. Isn't it beautiful?

Stunning! Wish I had one here. I can think of many ways to display it...especially in rustic containers for contrast...Ecuador style.

I know! You have the best containers for stuff like that! Wish I could borrow one!

That looks weirdly like the old marble-top dresser in the dining room! Flower is incredible, though!!!

Just use one of your great wooden, African bowls. Lay plastic in the bottom with a small towel folded on top of the plastic, fill a wide-mouthed glass bowl with water, set it in the wooden bowl and put the flower in. The contrast of the flower to the African bowl will look scrumptious!

You're brilliant! I never would have thought of that! (I don't know why, when it comes to flowers, I only think in terms of vases) Thanks for the creativity, mum!
