In the Aftermath of My Dad's Death, a New Perspective

"I am done with great things and big plans, great institutions and big successes. I am for those tiny, invisible loving human forces that work from individual to individual, creeping through the crannies of the world like so many rootlets, or like the capillary oozing of water, yet which, if given time, will rend the hardest monument of human pride." - William James

I LOVE this!! I have just come across your blog and it perked my interest... as a South African living in London, contemplating mobing back to South Africa, with all that it encompasses.. plus my brother has married into a lovely American family in North Carolina, and they are considering moving out too when he has finished seminary. I look forward to reading more of your blog!

Thank you so much! I know I complain about South Africa sometimes, but I really do love it here. It's just been an adjustment coming from California to Pretoria. :) Let me know if you ever come back to South Africa! - annie

South Africa is (as you know!) a weird mix of third and first world, and that mix is sometimes what is complained about, which is only natural.

I love the way you openly share your thoughts. I have a blog which helps me put thoughts in perspective too, blogging is great :)
