In Afrikaans it's spookasem, which means "ghost breath."
I love how descriptive language can be.

That's why I love Afrikaans! [not because I'm Afrikaans] but you get many words that's more descriptive than English and I find with the Afrikaans language you can be more creative [when it comes to writing poetry/stories] than the English language, I think we have more ways of describing things... I might be wrong but I've heard if even from Dutch people [who obviously know our langauge too]. Not that I think other languages I know can't be too, but I like the "spookasem" more than candy floss :)
True, many other languages are more descriptive than English. I like "ghost breath" in Afrikaans. However, "cotton candy" is beautifully descriptive. It looks exactly like a cotton ball and is sweet. In this case, English hits the picturesque mark.
